Our history

We've grown so we can give stability to your future

Churches of Christ Insurance was launched in 2008, when the Churches of Christ recognised advantages in having greater control over our insurance needs.

A faith-based, not-for-profit organisation, our aim is to:

  • Determine the shape of our insurance program, moulding it around common requirements of the Churches of Christ
  • Control outcomes and ensure the best results for our churches in the wake of an insurable event
  • Deliver the attentive, personalised service that can’t be offered by the larger insurance organisations

Churches of Christ Insurance first operated in Victoria and Tasmania, then in May 2011, Churches of Christ Western Australia joined the program. Subsequently, South Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland have all come on board, making our insurance program available across most of Australia. This has enabled us to utilise greater buying power through bundling and group insurance, leading to even greater cost savings for our member churches, agencies and departments.

Why we do it
